How much evil shit can the BPD do to me before the community stands up
Some POS held the door open for a patrol cop who thanked the POS. The POS said, you're very welcome. WTF?! They burn my genitals with acid, keep me up all GD night, make up lies about me .... let their retired cop beat his wife to near death & force her to move out of California... and the door is held open for them.

Some people respect, or at least support, officers accused of corruption due to a strong preference for "law and order," the belief that officers maintain safety in dangerous areas, and a desire to trust authority figures. This support can persist because of political messaging, a belief that corruption reports are exaggerated by media, or personal experiences where police provided necessary security.
Key factors driving this perspective include:
Prioritizing Order Over Due Process: Many individuals prioritize the immediate enforcement of laws and the restoration of order, viewing strict policing as essential to safety, even if it involves misconduct.
"Thin Blue Line" Mentality: A belief that police work in a "warzone" environment with unique, high-stakes ethics, leading to sympathy and an "us vs. them" mindset, where loyalty is given to those who face danger.
Media and Political Influence: Supporters may believe that high-profile incidents of misconduct are sensationalized by the media and that police are, in fact, doing a dangerous job that others refuse to do.
Socialization and Authority: Cultural and individual upbringing can create strong respect for authority figures, leading people to believe police generally protect rather than abuse power.
Individualistic Experiences: People who have had positive interactions with police, or who haven't directly experienced corruption, may disregard reports of widespread misconduct as limited to "bad apples".
Council on Criminal Justic
In some cases, this respect is not for the "corruption" itself, but a defense of the institution of policing, which is viewed as a necessary bulwark against crime.
