According to Brides, 15–20% of marriages involve infidelity. A survey of estate agents, sales workers, civil servants, engineers, charity workers, and retired cops found that police officers are the most likely profession to have a one-night stand. 

A lot of times police officers experience thrill-seeking behaviors on the job, but it can become an addiction almost if the thrill-seeking behaviors move outside of the job and your marriage. For some, it becomes a thrill to do something “behind the scenes” and then this causes them to go outside of the marriage.
