City of Burbank, Downtown Burbank, Burbank Police, Downtown Burbank Ambassadors Helping to Spread Covid-19 and other Diseases
Know that when you see that little, miniature white car, that their logos are nothing but a façade. The bathrooms are nasty as are the grounds. But the most worrisome is the lack of supervision and security and the outcome of this status. Many bus / train station patrons will tell you that there is lack of security, security that does nothing, and that the station has gone down hill. That said, the lack of security sends a clear message to the bus drivers and patrons: smoking anything is okay, and is drinking. Many patrons know they are free to smoke whatever right on the train platform in front of other patrons. Additionally, there are non-bus / train patrons that specifically come down to the station just to drink and/or smoke. No one cares. Both Metro trains and busses require masks, but no where in their orientation or solo send-off is anything about NOT smoking around others. At Oceanside, I saw an Amtrak conductor get off the train directing riders ... while he vaped. I videotaped it, but not sure what I'll do with the footage.
Here are the harmful truths about being around others who vape and smoke:
Vaping liquids are not approved by the FDA and can burn your lungs; so can the secondhand vapors
Same for cigars and cigarettes, the 2nd hand smoke vapors are just as detrimental to one's health as if it were first hand smoke. If it's marijuana, you can get a contact high if you're close enough to a pot smoker.
That said, not many around the station, specifically the ambassadors, have not taken a physics class and are not aware of the traveling properties of smoke and just how far they can travel. So guess what? If one has a cold, the flu, Covid, or any other creeping crud it will travel with the exhale that is blown out of the mouth. Covid droplets attach to the smoke as do other bacteria particles.

Aug 17, 2020 — Experts say droplets containing the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can travel farther in cigarette smoke as well as e-cigarette ...
I see bus drivers get off the bus and immediately start smoking and/or vaping; either neat the open doo of their bus and/or along the walk path near the bus benches filled with waiting bus patrons. The drivers don't give a shit about others nor does Metro nor do the Ambassadors who walk by as if it were normal.
So what am I saying? Downtown Burbank as well as the bus/train station are hazardous to your health. If you're around those areas just know that you're being exposed to others' bacteria and virus particles that are floating around cigarette, pot, and vape vapors.
The City of Burbank, the Mayor, City Council, the BPD, Downtown Burbank, and Ambassadors do not have your back; i.e. your health. If you've gotten sick, chances are it was in Burbank. The safety and welfare of others are not the interest of Burbank, making money is!!

How far away from cigarette smoke is safe?
The results were clear: The closer you are to an outdoor smoker, the higher your risk of exposure. "A typical cigarette lasts about 10 minutes," Klepeis said. "We found that if you're within two feet downwind of a smoker, you may be exposed to pollutant concentrations that exceed 500 micrograms of PM2.May 2, 2007
Like the uneducated Ambassador who said the smkers weren't near me, smh, please honey go take some classes ...
Depending upon weather conditions and air flow, tobacco smoke can be detected at distances between 25-30 feet away. The harm of tobacco smoke is greater if there are many lit cigarettes burning at the same time and if someone is close to the tobacco smoke.Mar 12, 2013
